Funding

30 hours funded childcare

Working parents with children aged 9 months to 5 years may be eligible for 15 or 30 hours of funded childcare, depending on factors like employment status, income, child’s age, and location. We take children from 2 years of age. Eligibility criteria for childcare funding can be checked at childcarechoices.gov.uk.

15 hours funded childcare

Universal Funding: Every child is eligible for 15 hours of funded childcare from the term after their third birthday.

Funding for Younger Children: Children aged 9 months and older may also qualify for 15 hours of funded childcare from the term after they turn 9 months, provided certain eligibility criteria are met for working parents.

Early Years Pupil Premium

Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP) is extra funding that nurseries, preschools, and childcare providers receive to help improve the learning and development of children aged 3 and 4 who may benefit from additional support. This funding is designed to give every child the best start in their early education, helping to close any gaps in skills or opportunities.

It can be used for things like extra teaching support, learning resources, or special activities that enhance children’s learning and well-being. Families do not have to pay for this, but the nursery needs certain information to claim it, so providing these details ensures your child can benefit from the extra support. If you think your child may be eligible, check the link below:

Childcare Vouchers

Childcare vouchers are a way for parents to get help with the cost of childcare. We do accept childcare vouchers at Stower Vale Preschool. The money you use in vouchers is tax-free, which can make childcare more affordable for your family. Please contact the Preschool manager for more information.

Additional Charges

Our daily consumable charge, applied every day, helps cover the cost of food, utilities, cleaning supplies, and other essential resources that support a high-quality learning environment. The charge is 50p for a half-day and £1 for a full day. This is a voluntary contribution. Should parents wish not to participate, we kindly ask that they follow our packed lunch guidance to promote a healthy and balanced diet.

Our spaces fill very quickly, so we do recommend you enquire as early as possible to ensure you get the sessions and start date you require.
