Committee Meeting

Our next committee meeting will be at pre-school on Tuesday 6th February at 7pm, everyone is welcome to come along.  We would like to welcome our two new committee members, Beki (Sylvie’s mum) and Steph (Henry’s mum) and also to say a big thank you to the members who stepped down from last year, without such amazing support from our current and past families we would not be able to run.

 

Funding

If your child is funded in the Spring Term your funding form will be sent home for completion shortly.  Please ensure these are completed and returned before the Christmas break and that you complete the form fully, i.e., child’s full name as per birth certificate and address as per your council tax bill to ensure that County are able to check the correct details, thank you.

 

Forest area and library visits

Forest area visits this term, please ensure your child has appropriate clothing, warm coats, waterproofs, welly boots, hats and gloves.  These visits are weather permitting and are risk assessed to ensure the area is safe to visit beforehand.

We will be visiting the school library on the following days to enjoy stories with the children.

Easy Fundraising

With Christmas fast approaching please support Pre-school by using the Easy Fundraising page when ordering online, please find below the QR code to link straight to our page, this is also displayed in the lobby and there is a link at the bottom of our website home page.  Joining Easy Fundraising does not cost you a penny but is a great way for us to raise funds for the pre-school, every time you make an online purchase the supplier will make a small contribution to us, at no cost to you.

 

Christmas Jumper Week

We will be raising funding for Saving the Children by taking part in the Christmas jumper week so wear your Christmas jumpers to pre-school all week from Monday 4th December and make a donation to Save the Children.  We will have a donation tin by the door during the week.

 

Christmas Raffle

We are holding a Christmas raffle, tickets will be sent home week beginning 20th November, tickets will be drawn on Wednesday 14th December, all funds raised will go towards toys and activities for the children.  Prizes will include Christmas hampers and vouchers from local businesses, there are some lovely prizes to be won!  We will send home one sheet of tickets per family but please do let us know if you need more, thank you for your support.

 

Christmas cards

If your child would like to send Christmas cards to their pre-school friends, we will have our Christmas post box available from Monday 4th December, last delivery is Wednesday 13th December.

 

Carol singing

We would like to invite you to join us on the last day of term, Friday 15th December, at 4pm, for carol singing, mulled wine (non-alcoholic), warm mince pies and ginger bread.  Santa will be visiting us and the children can visit him in his pre-school grotto.  Wrap up warm as this event will be held outside, siblings are welcome to come along too.  Please return the slip if you are able to attend, or email your response, whichever is easier.
