Our next Committee Meeting will be on Monday 15th May 2023 at 7.15pm in preschool.
Forest Area Visits
Forest area visits this term, please ensure your child has appropriate clothing, long sleeved top and trousers, leggings or tights so that arms and legs are covered. Children will not be taken down to the forest area in short sleeve tops or skirts due to stinging nettles etc. Please ensure your child has a named water bottle.

The visits are weather permitting and after risk assessing to ensure the area is safe to visit.
Coronation Celebrations
This week the children will be joining in with activities focusing on King Charles’s Coronation, we will be sending home a commemorative coin from the Royal Mint, a gift for the children from preschool, please do let us know if you have not received the coin by the end of the week, we will pop them in your child’s lunchbox.
Weather
Please remember in the summer term, once the sun starts shining, to apply suncream to your child before coming to preschool, an all day suncream is ideal, if not please let us know if your child needs a top-up during the day. Please remember a named sunhat, wellies and waterproofs are still needed during the summer months for water play. No open-toed shoes/sandals please.
Term dates and sessions
For children who will be attending in September, please find attached term dates for the 2023 to 2024 academic year, along with a session form for September 2023, please complete and return to preschool as soon as possible.
Stower Provost Community School (SPCS)
Miss Buxton, Reception Teacher from SPCS will be visiting the children who are moving into her class in September at preschool this half term as part of the school transition. She will use this time to get to know the children, as well as them becoming familiar with her. During these sessions she will read stories or join in with an activity with the children

If your child is not moving on to SPCS please email preschool with contact details of your child’s new school so that transition visits can be organised with their new teacher, thank you.
SPCS children will have received a letter from Miss Buxton regarding visits to their new classroom after half term. For children who attend preschool on those mornings please bring your child to preschool and we will take them over to school via the school field and collect them at the end of the visit, unless of course you would like to take them in yourself. However, for the last visit on Thursday 3rd July please take your child directly to school as the session begins at 9am. We will collect the children at 10.50am if they come to preschool on a Thursday.
If you are unsure of anything regarding the school transition, have any questions or would just like to clarify something please do let us know as we appreciate that there is a lot to take in at this very exciting and busy time.
