A big welcome to you all starting, or continuing, at preschool this year, we hope you had a lovely summer break.
Forest Area Visits
Dates for visits to the forest area will follow shortly, we will also add the dates to the calendar on the preschool website. We will endeavour to visit the forest area once a week, weather dependent, the children love exploring and taking part in fun activities such as outdoor stories, fun with clay, mini-beast hunts and generally exploring a new natural environment. Please ensure that your child has welly boots, hats and gloves with them as it does get cold during the autumn/winter months.
AGM + Committee Meeting
The Pre-school’s AGM will be held on Tuesday, 11th October at 7.15pm, followed by our first Committee Meeting of the year.
A message from our Committee Chair, Samantha Wattridge:-
“A warm welcome on behalf of myself and the entire Preschool Committee to all families. I hope you all had a wonderful summer.
On the calendar dates you will notice we are holding our AGM and first committee meeting of the preschool year in October and I would like to extend a warm welcome to any parents/carers who may be interested in joining our committee. As a registered charity we are legally obliged to have a majority of current parents/carers involved in our committee and we are always looking to recruit new volunteers. If you feel you have time to give 1-1.5 hours, 3-4 times a year to our committee please do let myself or Claire know and I will be in touch.
We hope to see you at our AGM next month.
Easy Fundraising
A reminder to please support Pre-school by using the Easy Fundraising page when ordering online, this is a great way for Pre-school to raise extra funds and does not cost you a penny extra. The Easy Fundraising link can be found at the bottom of our website homepage or you can download the app for your phone, there are lots of helpful information on their website so please do have a look and sign up.
Bank Holiday
Pre-school will be closed on Monday 19th September to mark the state funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Tapestry
We hope you are all managing to access your child’s Tapestry journals, this is a lovely way for you to keep in touch with their time at preschool and share special moments from home. We are uploading our weekly activities from next week onto Tapestry so that you can see what is planned for the sessions that your child attends. To access the planned activities, you will need to go to the Tapestry desktop site, log in to your child’s journal and from the top menu click on ‘Activities’. If you have any queries please do let us know.
